APRIL 8, 2019— CMD, Portland’s premier full-service marketing and advertising agency, announces Devon Neves and Karl Keating as group account director and senior strategist, respectively.
Utilizing her expertise in account management and business development, Neves will spearhead growth and innovation for the CMD portfolio. A talented change agent, her direction will strengthen the core of CMD accounts while driving new and innovative partnerships. Notably, she will be leading CMD clients including JELD-WEN, BMC, Gates, Washington Dairy and The Portland Clinic.
“CMD is always evolving how best to show up for clients, team members and our friends and families. Now that our team and our clients are working remotely, we’re finding new ways to solve complex business challenges, share knowledge and collaborate,” said Neves. “I’m inspired by our leadership team who are constantly motivating us to be creative and nimble. There is opportunity to create change and grow the organization in a new way, now more than ever.”
Neves will report directly to CMD’s head of strategy, Mairi Burns. Neves most recently worked at boutique agency FINE, where she led the business development of clients Kimpton Hotels, Pernod Ricard and Clarisonic.
CMD’s newest senior strategist, Karl Keating, brings more than 15 years of international sports marketing and consumer brand omnichannel experience to the organization. Keating is focused on amplifying strategy within CMD, bringing it to the forefront with clients including Xbox and Microsoft Surface. Keating will also report to Burns.
“The agency model is knowing our clients’ businesses as well as they do, seeing around corners for them, something CMD has been doing from the start,” said Keating. “The conversations that happen inside CMD are what is going to help propel our leadership within the tech and gaming sector, helping brands tap into the future of culture, innovation and sport.”
Keating joins CMD from leading digital consulting sports marketing firm, Rebel. He spent seven years leading omnichannel marketing at Nike Europe and four years at adidas America helping launch their baseball and U.S. football brands.
